they had a similar comparison in Motor Trend where the same thing happened ... the Z06 ate up the competition but it did not get 1st place beacuse of the cheap interior.
I cannot think of ANY current American car where the interior is outstanding and I follow the market pretty closely.
Yeah, but it's pretty silly to give a performance car last place because it's interior isn't as nice as the cars that cost twice or three times as much. The Ferrari costs fucking $180,000. People don't actually drive Ferraris. I saw someone driving a Z06 a few blocks from here the other day. And screw Porsche. They used to be really cool when they were all about the cars, now they're all about the image. Porsche died when they released the Cayenne. What a fucking disaster.

i don't really think this is the case ... they have been consistenly making super reliable sports cars for quite a few years already ... the new Caymann is a marvel from what I hear ... a real competitor for their own 911
Yeah, the Cayman is a true world class sports car that costs less than the Z06 (in base form) but I've heard the opposite as far as reliability goes. I can't remember the source but I remember reading somewhere that they are absurdly unreliable (as in "least reliable car manufacturer"). This may or may not be accurate but I know for a fact that the Cayenne/Toureg is one of the least reliable vehicles of all time - worse than Land Rovers.
Anyway, I just miss the days when they were more known for making race cars with numbers for names rather than status symbols for doctors.
