I'm with ALtitudes on this one. I've tried Salvia a few times and it's the least enjoyable psychedelic drug I've tried. It made my skin crawl and tingle to the point of serious annoyance, and it felt like some invisible force was trying to pull me through the couch or floor or whereever I was. It was never scary though. Instead it was just awkward, weird, and uncomfortable. This could be due to my previous psychedelic drug experience though. I knew I was on drugs and that I didn't like it and I'd just have to deal with it until it was over. Fortunately it was only a few minutes each time. I can see though how for someone inexperienced with psychedelics, it could really trip them out and even really scare them.
If you're not all that interested in psychedelics and how they work with your brain, I wouldn't ever recommend Salvia. If you're somewhat of a psychonaut though and love experimenting with alternate realities, I say go for it just for the experience. It obviously affects people differently. For me I didn't like it, but I love pretty much any other psychedelic drug. Some people love Salvia and hate everything else. Different strokes.
Bottom line.... research anything before you ever try it and base your decision on your own feelings.
