This has to be the absolutely worst episode of family guy ever for this reason. 10 minutes of a 22 minute episode was the same joke. I understand the long, running gags are part of family guy, but when you're making fun of the episode you're showing by way of characters killing themselves because they're annoyed, maybe that says you've maybe killed the entertainment value.

Meanwhile, the "multiverse" episode was reasonably funny. Not "shipoopie" funny, not "who wants chowder?" funny, but decently humorous.

Family Guy was funny once, now I'd have to describe it more as intolerable. They seem to be entirely out of ideas and the irony is the show was cancelled when it was good, but now that it's awful it's apparently good enough to stay on the air.
