I have had this guitar for 14 years... since I was 14 and I love it but I am thinking of getting some new gear in it. I want something that has good high end gain for solos and harmonics. Basically I want to make it scream. It is a bit dull and I am getting some buzzing. I was looking at the EMG range I like Alexio Laiho's sound but I dunno if it would suit my guitar. I am not a tech person at all. I had a long break from playing after an injury and am slowly getting back into it.

Just get a new guitar to be honest. They're not a very good guitar to be begin with, you'll find you'll get way better mileage putting good pickups in a high quality guitar.
If you really like Ibanez, a 90s MIJ RG or S series is the way to go.
