Ibanez RG220B...

I tried one at a Guitar Center and everything seems alright. It is $220. I am thinking about putting $250 more into fixing it up/getting a tremelo arm/getting allen wrench. But is it reliable?

Be careful it doesn't have a fucked up neck. I bought one from them, I checked every thing out (bowing, body condition, hardware defects) except seeing if the neck was fucked laterally. The neck looks twisted slightly if you look down it, which I didn't check initially. When I finally got it set up right, it was pointed out to me and I was like...fuck how could that have happened....but I had no way to prove I bought it that way, but I know I did. So now it buzzes on the low E string at the 12th fret, B stringt at the 3rd and 12th fret, high e at 12 and 13. I got pwnt. ....so yeah, check that out.

I aggree here, invest the 500 up front and you shouldn't have a problem.

word,its totally worth it,and just a note most all 700 dollar guitars are 5 dollar guitars with better pick-ups so buy the 500 and just replace one pick-up(well if you only use the neck) and you just saved 100 bucks

But my preference for quality is not very high. I just need one that will last me a year or so.

It looks ok, but it's not Mahogany, it's plain as fuck, it has an EMG in it, it's bolt on neck, it has no inlays, it only has one volume control nothing else, and it has a LoPro Edge bridge, apart from that it might be OK.

because i own this sweet baby.
It rocks and the neck is the sweetest youll ever see.Ok no inlays (besides that guitarthing ) but thats ok
