If I went Ide expect Jotun, Moonshield, Artifacts in the Black Rain, Embody the Invisible....
Only for the weak rules.. but they played so many "second-teir" songs...
and yes, Clayman is inferior to the older albums, and they are becoming way more mainstream... on purpose I believe to draw new fans into the extreme metals...they could write another jester I believe... the next album will still be good though...
and Death vox > Normal Vox.. Iced Earth does kinda suck they are so blah
Yeah I always felt that if you couldn't understand the vocals then you were losing half of the song....?
I guess if you are in the mood, then black, brutal, death, grind vocals would work for that 'agrressive' kick. But IMO, in the long run I appreciate vocals as an important part of the song (lyrics and melody). Talent exists in Hansi Kursh, Matt Barlow, Bruce Dickinson etc and their records become so much more memorable than, say, Napalm Death or Cradle of Filth.
Natural Born Chaos - great combination of vocal styles and amazing produvtion by DT. I'm not even into that 'style' really but this CD is great.
