If you had alot of Money$$$?

If I somehow came into some serious cash I have often dreamed that I would start my own label, and give it pleny of support. I was wondering if eveyone else shared this dream? If so, what bands would you put on your label( and by saying this I mean bands that are generally unsupported- or not widely popular, or on a major label)? The first band I would sign is Anathema, because i truly believe with the proper support and marketing they could generate some serious buzz. So what band or bands would u sign?

I'd make a label...a TV station dedicated to metal....or a magazine...or if one idea made enough money all three =P

Bands i would sign if i did the label: My own band, My solo work would be made under my label...and i'm not sure, i dunno many good unsigned bands that are metal =P

For a TV station it would play metal videos from all genres and no matter how mainstream or underground it is.

Well I would give all my money to greenpeace or some other charitable organization...but if I had to start my label, I would definitely sign ARTHEMESIA!

it depends what a lot of money is. but if it is a LOT, id just buy a small house close to the woods in a nice quiet place, have a huuuuuuge library and all the cds ive always wanted, id live close to a lake and have a small boat, and thats it! perfect life for ever.

Id start A TV channel that played Extreme vids for any extreme metal bands out there, but no punk and no manufactured nu-metal. Everything else would be fine.

and my freinds band OLVIDAR... who to say all only started on there instruments a couple of years ago are fucking immense as a band (very hardcore)

But yeah primarilly TV channel would be good. At night I would show Sick ass Japaneze horror movies.

Id buy MTV and turn it into a metal only channel. Get rid of MTV, and get a channel that plays some non-mallcore, its like killing 2 birds with one stone!

I'd buy a studio, the best recording equipment, 2 Laney VH100R amps 2 Custom Shop Caparison guitars or Jackson Soloists. Some good-ish bass and a nice drum kit from Pearl or Tama with Sabian cymbals and other good shit muahaha...

I'd do the whole "Let's get rid of MTV" type of thing, and put good music. Not just metal. It's also going to have radio station parallel. The recording studio would be awesome if it was in my house. I don't really care how big my house is or how nice my car is, so meh. And I'd buy every fucking CD I've always wanted

if i had a lot of cash, i'd jsut get a small place, set up a distro like i always wanted to, build up my monster custom guitar, get a killer stereo and entertainment system set up, an old firebird to play with and then proceed to travel half the months out of the year and not get to really use any of my cool toys. But i'd travel to capture shows/tours on film and do little tour diarys and such.

I wouldn't start my own label, I'd be too lazy, but I'd like to help out some unsigned bands such as Dauntless (which I love) and I'd just buy myself a lot of crap.
