so, ive recently discovered some great albums that came out last year.

so, what albums have you only just discovered, wishing you had gotten it the day it came out?

a couple of mine:
primordial - to the nameless dead (my first ever primordial cd)
watain - sworn to the dark (ive been a fan for a while, but i never realized this was so good!)
~gR~

Good call on Watain, gr. I also would've picked Glorior Belli's Manifesting The Raging Beast had I heard it last year. These are the only two I can think of at the moment.

So; stuff that I got this year that came out last year, but blew my mind this year...

Art Metal (Jonas Hellborg, Mattias IA Eklundh, Jens Johansson) "Art Metal"
Blotted Science "The Machinations of Dementia"
Behold... The Arctopus "Skullgrid"
Arsis "As Regret Becomes Guilt"
Amorphis "Silent Waters"
Hiromi Uehara "Time Control"
Indricothere "Indricothere"
Jordan Rudess "The Road Home" (Only great for the amazing ELP cover!!!)
Samael "Solar Soul"

those two are both excellent, I think I might even take 'em over TftTL (hopefully that doesn't make me gay).

I'm still getting all the essentials/classics. Give me a chance to catch up. :p

if only more people on this board had your mentality rather than spending 90-100% of their time namedropping 21st century post-black metal mega-epics from taiwan.

also recent amorphis has been so bad, jesus. i could tolerate everything through to am universum but since then, ughhh

^I don't know what you're smoking, newer Amorphis rules. The only bad album they ever released was Far From The Sun. Well, Am Universum only had 2-3 good songs.
