Illegal immigrants protest

What I dont understand is... if your not a legal citizen of the US... then how are you allowed to protest? You don't have the rights that we all have.

I just imagine like 400,000 people protesting with signs written in Spanish because none of them can speak English.

And who the fuck protests to keep something like that? It's illegal! It's like if 10,000 people gathered around and said "rape is great, let LRD fuck all the 5 year olds he wants!"

Well articulated, Metal Kingdom.

Multiculturalism does have a tendency to breed indifference and apathy towards the various cultures that inevitably ends in conflict.

Someone is always going to have to do the shit work. As long as the shit work can be done by illegal immigrants who are paid next to nothing, the cost of the shit work will be low to the rest of America. When you start forcing those industries to pay their workers a legal wage, the cost of those products and services goes up.

How much do strawberries cost where you live? 4$ a pound? Most of the cost of that fruit is in transportation and storage. The people who pick the fruits are paid next to nothing because the product they produce isn't very valuable. Are you willing to buy Strawberries at $15 a pound so that Jose can get paid more than the $20 a day he makes now?

What politician is seriously going to push for legislation that raises prices on goods and services that Americans have become used to (in our fat, lazy decadence) in order to benefit non-citizens and non-taxpayers?

It may be that the responsible thing to do is to raise the wages of those workers to livable money, or to force those farmers to employ American citizens paid at least the legal minimum wage. We'd have to accept that Strawberries are a luxury item that cost a lot. But that will only reduce demand hugely, and with fixed minimum prices, the only result is a drop in supply to match, as most of the farms would have to shut down. Jose, or his legal equivalent, would be unemployed or headed back to the shit country he came from in the first place, and neither scenario probably makes his life any better.
THIS MAKES SENSE EXCEPT FOR AMERICAN INFLATION MOVING UP FASTER THAN MIN WAGE MOVING UP
DOUBLE MIN WAGE IS NO LONGER SUFFICIENT TO LIVE COMFORTABLY ON

The real problem is that the vast majority of these people have NO INTENT WHATSOEVER ON BECOMING AMERICANS!!! They have absolutely no respect for our laws, our culture, our people, our heritage, our history, and no understanding of the internal conflicts and struggles that we've been through to become the great nation that we are.
okay, if that's the case (which I do believe) I fully agree with you man

I LIVE IN TEXAS WHERE EVERY SINGLE FUCKING CITY HAS A MEXICAN "PART OF TOWN" (AND THEY GIVE THE GED TESTING IN SPANISH FOR STUDENTS THAT CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH) I'VE SEEN WHAT YOU'VE SEEN ENOUGH TO AGREE WITH YOU

there was an apartment next door to mine where like 74 guys from el salvador lived. they were pretty cool. one day they were all out on the front lawn drinking dos equis and the one guy who could speak a little english was teaching them to swear in english, it was hilariously surreal.

English speaking guy: "Son of a Beetch!!"
73 El Salvadorans (together): "SON OF A BEETCH!!"

if you can't speak the language, stay in your own country....
You CAN'T say that, at least not in general (the way you say it).
Sometimes people are forced to immigrate.
you can nót state that people that are in serious dangour because of their government or other leading classes must stay in their own country because they don't speak your language...

Sure I can... besides, it's one thing for someone to run away and not know the language for the first month or 2, but when these people start showing up in places like New Jersey and still cant speak English... it makes me wonder.. Mexico is pretty car from New Jersey, if you made it all the way up here.. the least you could have done was learn the language by now... especially if you plan on staying here.

yes, I agree the immigrants have to learn the language once they are there.
But saying something like "if you can't speak the language, stay in your own country" is simply stupid.
