I was actually looking up reviews about a scam site and I found this cool forum over here so I thought I'd join for fun and stuff.
I'm really into death metal and thrash metal- those are my two favorite genres. Especially if they're melodic.
Is melodic thrash metal even a genre? That would be SO cool!
Lately, I've been listening to Carcass, Hypocrisy, Goatwhore, Abbath (What the hell is it about black metal that makes me keep going back to it?) Slayer, Nekrogoblikon, Spellcaster, Destruction, Kreator, Enforcer, Gama Bomb.... There's a few off the top of my head. Cannibal Corpse I can listen to anytime. I get sick of triplets a lot, though. When I hear triplet notes, I start to feel like a wee little forest elf skipping around in a dandy green loincloth after awhile. I don't like that.
And don't ever tell me that I don't like something just because it's popular, because if that were true I wouldn't be listening to Metallica. Yes, Metallica beats Megadeth hands down. Megadeth is still super awesome to listen to, but it's fucking weird compared to Metallica. A lot more prog going on. I like consistency, like, consistent tempos and melodies. And speed. I love speed. It's got to be fast.
