Does anyone know what acoustic guitars the guys in In Flames use? They have the greatest sound on songs like pallar anders visa. I'm guessing they also use extremely thick acoustic strings because they're tuned low but it still doesn't sound floppy.

Don't know what acoustic guitar they use exactly, but to get you off at a start it's a steel string most likely.

Steel-string, Martin or Gibson I'd have to guess. A major part of their sound is something you get when you have an acoustic guitar tuned to C. It adds a whole new dimension to the sound.
