In Flames -Sounds of A Playground Fading (Upcoming 10th album)

I hope it's another song than Deliver Us. That would be so awesome. Seriously it's more than 1 month to release, it's to long! :P

It is another song than Deliver Us, it's a new song, Deliver Us isn't new =)
Btw, a guy from Jesterhead covered Deliver Us, check it out here, it's pretty awesome imo:

Why do everything think I'm a god or something? :P Or maybe I'm delusional...Anyways, I threw her an email asking which time Björn was coming on and also approximately when the new song is being played. Hopefully she answers, and then there should be no problem ripping the song =)

Thumbs up!

I saw you guys being like "It has almost a colony clayman vibe".
To be honest, I'm not looking for that anymore, though it is refreshing, I'm just looking for In Flames to go in a direction that is interesting and enjoyable.

Besides, most of the things that try to touch past material make me feel like I should just listen to that instead anyways.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm loving Deliver Us!

Also, there are quite a few stations which have Full Metal Jackie tonight so I'll try to rip the new song as well. :) She's on here right now!: http://www.995thex.com// Let's hope for the best. :)

It's coming up next! Got my audio recorder ready! :D I'm betting it's gonna be Deliver Us though.

And I win the bet! LOL. Oh well. We'll be hearing more soon enough. :)

I've read all the previous posts and have come to the conclusion that In Flames is In Flames, and who are we to say otherwise? I agree with most everyone that the bulk of ASOP was slightly weak and Anders vocals were definitely "different" from the previous albums, but tbh, its not as bad as you guys make it out to be, yes, its not as aggressive as their other albums, and Anders does sound a little whiny, but that's what got me into them; their diversity and musical brilliance. Regardless of the vocals, the melodies and harmonies are amazing(All of their albums, again, regardless of the vocals.) As krofius said, In Flames is In Flames, and if you want some harder stuff, you listen to their older albums.
No matter which of their albums you listen to, though, there is still that "In Flames" behind them all. Any ways, back on topic; their new single is AWESOME! I'm still trying to make up my mind of what album it sounds like more, but I'm fairly certain its got lots of influences, which just means it's In Flames.
As many have said, krofius, damn you for having listened to SOAPF before us :D I want to become a Jesterhead member! I can't wait another month.

I may be a new fan, (Only started listening to them about a month ago) But I've listened(And loved) all of their albums, and watched all Anders funny shit on youtube (That guy is hilarious live, I seriously have got to go to one of the shows.) Any way, I hope to converse with you fine gents more on the intricacies of In Flames. Respect.

"Remind me of the golden Fortress above the sun
Why don't you just stand away from me
For the ever and the path of the ones who names
On the shore
Forever I can't find a find
Struggling in a world of this fine
Or this life
I don't want it to be
I'm not in to live

Fly into the distance"

I'm pretty sure this somones guess at the lyrics, because "Struggling in a world of this fine" sounds like "Struggling in a world Undefined" in my ears. That would also match Anders' lyrical concept for this album.

I like the idea of In Flames becoming experimental- the accordian or whatever playing the chorus of The Attic. I'm all for odd instrumental experimentation within metal music. It spices things up. At the moment Deliver Us is giving me a Soundtrack to Your Escape-type vibe, mainly due to the synths. This is no bad thing to me, as i love STYE and it's mood/atmospherics!

Getting pissed off with the fact Amazon still haven't released the single, c'mon we are one day away! Release the MP3 already!

Wait, Björn was on the show yesterday and the new song was Deliver Us? Doesn't make sense. I remember this being the same with CoB's last album, a new song had just been played, and then there was announced to be a new song played on FMJ, and it WAS actually another new song.

You should definitely become a Jesterhead member. But I have not heard the title track and Ropes because of Jesterhead btw, if that was what you thought.

I'm checking out the site as we speak, I'm definitely looking into it. Oh? Where and how did you get your hands on it, then? For I must know thine secrets.

He probably knows some1 who got the promo. And I bet that an actual NEW song will be on that radio, it would be kind of retarded saying about a new song being steamed and it would be just the single that everybody knows already.

Correct on the first part, and I fully agree on the second part.

I want your contacts :D On a different note: I attempted to purchase the 1 month trial deal but in my search for my credit card the paypal site logged out of my account, so now the whole thing is effed up, It won't let me login or continue from the beginning with the ID I chose, says its already in use. Then I go to paypal and find I hadn't even had money in it in the first place. Epic fail :) Will get it as soon as they clear the ID and as soon as the money transfers. Can't wait for some IF madness!
