I've read all the previous posts and have come to the conclusion that In Flames is In Flames, and who are we to say otherwise? I agree with most everyone that the bulk of ASOP was slightly weak and Anders vocals were definitely "different" from the previous albums, but tbh, its not as bad as you guys make it out to be, yes, its not as aggressive as their other albums, and Anders does sound a little whiny, but that's what got me into them; their diversity and musical brilliance. Regardless of the vocals, the melodies and harmonies are amazing(All of their albums, again, regardless of the vocals.) As krofius said, In Flames is In Flames, and if you want some harder stuff, you listen to their older albums.
No matter which of their albums you listen to, though, there is still that "In Flames" behind them all. Any ways, back on topic; their new single is AWESOME! I'm still trying to make up my mind of what album it sounds like more, but I'm fairly certain its got lots of influences, which just means it's In Flames.
As many have said, krofius, damn you for having listened to SOAPF before us
I want to become a Jesterhead member! I can't wait another month.
I may be a new fan, (Only started listening to them about a month ago) But I've listened(And loved) all of their albums, and watched all Anders funny shit on youtube (That guy is hilarious live, I seriously have got to go to one of the shows.) Any way, I hope to converse with you fine gents more on the intricacies of In Flames. Respect.
