"Where the Dead ships Dwell " was my favorite of the previews..

Man Century Media don't fuck around with this stuff, do they? They really want to keep this album under lock and key until release, eh?

Actually, albums haven't been leaking more than a week in advance for at least 5 years now. The main reasons are that record companies either have private listening parties or send out advanced copies with watermarks embedded into the soundwaves which have personal details about the person receiving the copy such as their home address.

Well thats not entirely true is it, many, many albums leak more than one week before the realese. It's really down to the point whether or not people buy records or not. In flames as example sell very few albums if you compare with any American band who are similar to them. So the record company will hold a very tight hand on the new album!

What I don't get is how some tracks are avalible in album quality and the rest is not. The only reason for this might be that the record company leak the tracks themself!? And of course it's harder to search for SOAPF when there is a track named the same which has leaked!

The watermark thing, how does it really work? Do you actually hear the watermark or is it hidden in the soundwaves somehow? Thats what I really wanna know! :)

But the real question is how do I get a promo or even an invite to the private listening party! I'm desperate here, want to hear it NOW :D

About the setlist I wonder what happend to the tradition of playing Behind Space live? They played it on every concert but then they suddenly stopped (Wonder why and when... I think around ASOP) :(

I'm fairly sure Surtur Rising leaked 3-4 weeks before release, at least 3 weeks.

While it is getting harder, the last couple cd's ive been interested in have been usually 2-3 weeks ahead.

Actually, Eminem's Recovery leaked a few weeks early, about a month if I remember correctly. I'm almost certain it did. After googling it, it looks like it leaked 10 days before its first release date. So, about a week.
