In the solo, when he does those patterns and moves them up and down the fretboard, do you just do it as a bar chord, or play it all individually?

oh cool, coz when I tried learning it, I hated doing it as a chord/arpeggio because when you hit all 4 strings it just has that ugly disharmonic sound, and I don't think Peter actually did that on the recording. Doing it with single fingers though is a real bitch.
well i dont just strum it.. i take my fingers off after i hit a note.. im gonna practice doing it with single fingers though, would sound a lot better
u can try rolling ur pointer finger along, thats how my guitar teacher gets me to do things like that.

Sounds like a plan Madrigal, thanks. Although it'd prolly take alot of getting used to.. but whatever, I'll try all the methods when I put my guitar back to E tuning and stop playing Bodom

yah, bodom always seem to tune to D. I don't really like doing it, but they don't give me an option, haha.

I play in flames in standard tuning too, it sounds weird, but I don't have to go through the hassle of tuning. And I've always rolled my fingers in the Mist solo, it's just like any other sweep, you can't let the notes ring out or it'll sound like shit.
