People are expressing their grief, anger, frustration, and pain in many ways as of late. I prefer music as my method by which to vent such feelings. Within the perspective of what has happened and what is inevitable, I have put together a compilation CD for myself with songs that express this situation well for me. Here are the songs in order:

Slayer - War Ensemble
Megadeth - Holy Wars
Immortal - Triumph
Megadeth - Take No Prisoners
Sepultura - Refuse\Resist
Iron Maiden - Aces High
Iced Earth - Ghost Of Freedom
Gravedigger - The Round Table
Sinergy - Lead Us To War
Iron Savior - The Battle
Judas Priest - Some Heads Are Gonna' Roll
Immortal - Damned In Black

What would be on everyone else's CD's, if you were to make one regarding the current times?

I've been listening to America alot...the old Simon & Garfunkel track. Not a particularly sad song, just fits the mood I find. I might go listen to it again.

Iced Earth - Melancholy

I see the sadness in their eyes, melancholy in their cries
Devoid of all the passion, the human spirit cannot die
Look at the pain around me, this is what I cry for

Symphony X - A Fool's Paradise

Is this the end of all we know?
Innocence lost so long ago
Woven in dreams, the darkest of schemes
Now takes hold of our destiny
Decades of greed, plague, famine, and war
We can't go on like this anymore.

In an earlier post I mentioned that Soundgarden was one of my favorite bands when I was younger. Their song Limo Wreck is especially chilling in light of the WTC disaster, especially the line "building the towers belongs to the sky, when the whole thing comes crashing down don't ask me why."

And finally, a Katatonia song that describes what Bin Laden's fate should be...

We had you down on your knees
We were kicking you in the head
We tried to hang you from the trees
We wouldn't stop until you were dead

WE MUST BURY YOU!
