influential albums

i'd pick heartwork from carcass. best death metal album ever. necroticism is a blast tho anyway.

:headbang:

Clawfingers Deaf Dumb Blind and Use Your Brain has been influential albums for the late nu-metal wave from the era when nu-metal hadn't been even invented yet. Not to mention the Korn debut (like it or not) which spawned millions of crappy bands.

oh yeah, and Faith No More (minus the last album).

can a band influence itself? ;)

I do think so, sometimes I hope so. Sometimes a band performs a very good album and after spends all his career trying to redo the album without reaching it.
And some bands should influence themselves with their old albumsh. Look at theatre of tragedy:ill:, instead of thinking they are the reincarnation of Kraftwerk, they should go back to the Velvet Darkness and Aegis stuff.

I was much more in the old stuff you know.

On Musique there was a song in french (for the french release), I was really pissed off to here Liv singing "Tuuuu aaaaaas, un vieuxxxx pull trouéééé"

Yes, one way or another, it's really a shame to see her leaving. Why?

I really like the "closure" live album by the way... Perfect mix, with the old tunes played in the new electro way...
I think TOT can't survive to Liv's departure... :( Pity, it was a good band i think...
Oh, and I really don't want to hear the french version... It seems to be crap... ;)

its like this: i wanna go with that french girl she said ' sure do you wanna make friends with me' tres bien tres bien, hey im not crying anymore

and theres a 'voulez vous' and a 'rendez vous' as well in that song.

Closure was good indeed, in the style of the old albums because it was released by their former record company which didn't have rights upon "Musique" and "Assembly" but only on the old stuff.

Mandylion is an impressive album.

It was the first time I had the impression that the singer's voice was an instrument. The singing on "Strange Machines" is terrific
