was wondering if this would be ok with the band,

Unless you guys have already solidified plans for a video, maybe we could vote for what song we wana see a vid for off the new album! my vote goes to eulagy for the living lost.

I don't think you are being a dick.
I have always been extremely honest myself when it came to ND.

My least favorites are Harlot's Lie and When Desperation Fills the Void. Not bad tracks, but don't grab me like the others do. That could certainly change over time.
 
hmm, thought of a concept for desperation, start with the band playing in the dark, then at the solo have the lights come on and the band playing in a theater where all the seats are filled with dead skeletons, after the solo have the lights dim again and then at the end have thomous come out and have the lights flare with each crushing note, and with each flash some of the skelitons are replaced with fans, fists rased in the air.
 
Eulogy for the Living Lost seems to be the unanimous choice. So be it.

I swear, it's a fucking conspiracy to choose the longest possible song for a video. Out of spite, I've taken the liberty of securing the Amoco bathroom in Ybor City for a shooting location. It'll be an avant-garde/experimental piece, shot in 1 take from the POV of a glory hole. So, with that in mind, Vito needs to take some extra time cleaning "down there". And if you boys thought the "Dirka" make-up was bad, just wait until you see how high I've raised the bar!

Well everyone, Eulogy certainly was our thoughts as well. It seems to be the majority favorite, and we felt it represented the best well too. SO, Cage XXI (Tony or Saw if you will) is the director, who did Autumn Reflection for us, and we're talking concept with him right now, so here's your chance to help out. Think about Eulogy, and give him ideas for sets, locations, concepts, ideas... Think a performance video, with cut scenes. Where would the performance be? Think lyrics, and what would ft with the tone of it all...
 
Hahaha, looks like SO many guys who work in IT at my company. Also, looks like pretty much every guy in a Monday night Men's Bowling League.... (Trust me, I know!)
 
Back on topic........

I think the video needs to focus on one person.
Probably an elderly chap, between 50 and 60.
He (or she) wanders aimlessly throughout the video, wondering why he is alone. Ocassionally, he will run into various "Dark" objects (gargoyles, wolves, dogs, etc)....

There will be various cuts to the band playing in what seems to be hell. Lots of reds and orange hues, lots of fire....

The climax will be the person facing the realization that they are actually already dead (and had been for MANY years, possibly as the result of some sin or their own fault). Not sure how they find out (IE - maybe wanter into a graveyard and see their own tombstone, or find an old obituary which details how they died).

This was my proposed artwork for the new CD, which was turned down.
