Sup guys

The last week or so my Pro 40 has been randomly dropping out. It hasnt seemed to be too bad at all when tracking and mixing, but when listening to music on iTunes or the web, it cuts out and I have to turn it off then on again. The longer I leave it off, the longer it takes to cut out, the less time I leave it off, it will cut out within a few seconds. I've also started noticing crackling during songs and have to restart.

I'm at the latest firmware/drives for it.

Any help?

EDIT: I'm on a mac by the way

Buffer rate shouldn't make a difference to general play-back.
It sounds like a sample rate conflict to me. Does the 'FW Active' LED blink at all when it drops out? Open up the Saffire MixControl and check your sample rate, and see if it's the same as the general play-back devices you're using.

Solved it guys. Bit of a retard!

Apparently, according to the Saffire site, on newer macs the interface has to be turned on before turning the computer on. This goes for most interface/computers

Selecting different driver? Not "Saffire" ASIO, try WDM Kernel Streaming or WASAPI. I'm testing WDM Kernel on Reaper and it is working with less latency.
