It seems there are lot's of people on the board here... so I just thought we could try to introduce ourselves....

Hey there, my real name is Aki, and I live in San Francisco. Been a fan of the band since high school (1989 or so). Seen Anthrax a few times, (last time I saw them was at the Thrash of the Titans). I had a radio show while at the university of the pacific (Noise Gate 442) which was on Fridays at 8pm, only available around our school (as KPAC, not KUOP). Been posting (though mostly reading) Anthrax related borads since the "Rage Area" times on "Fan Base" (I think that is what it was called). How about you guys?

J.d (my initials), been a fan since Junjior high (87) Loved the band through all the years ( except stomp, 3 good songs in my opinion). Living in Westchester county NY. Nice to see so many fans here and that the band still takes a active interest in us net nerds.

Hi, I'm Marcus, from Lewistown, PA; but I go to school in Williamsport of the same state.. I've been a fan since about last summer, because I wasn't much of a Belladonna fan, but I grew to tolerate his vocals. Then I checked out the stuff with John, and loved it. It was actually S.O.D. that got me into Anthrax. Imagine that.

My name's Matt. Anthrax was the second heavy metal band I got into back in '89 (Metallica being the first). Indians was the first metal song I really dug. I caught them mostly on WSOU (Seton Hall's Pirate Radio in Jersey).

I got Persistence of Time on Christmas Day in '90 (my second metal tape, a gift from my grandparents). About two weeks later, I got Fistful of Metal, but was hugely disappointed because Joey wasn't singing, so I've never listened to it straight through.

Then it was State of Euphoria (purchased in a KMart, oddly enough). When Attack of the Killer B's came out, I kind of stopped listening to the band, sorry guys. Later, I went on to get Among the Living and Spreading the Disease.

When Bush joined, I kind of shunned the band again. But the live album made me lighten up and see that Bring the Noise wasn't so bad. So I went and got Attack and eventually Sound of White Noise.

I hadn't really been a loyal fan considering that I did have Anthrax to thank for my introduction to metal. But one day when I was coming home from college, I saw Scott on the 1 or the 9 in NYC. I didn't go up to him because I don't like busting people's balls. But it made me realize that Anthrax are great guys. They're regular shmucks like you and I. I also realized that Stomp 442 didn't suck like Megadeth's Euthanasia or Metallica's Load. And that John has a stronger voice than Belladonna. When Volume 8 came out, the Japanese version hit my store before the US one did. I paid the $26 because I thought they deserved it. Crush and P&V were worth it.

The first time I saw them live was at the NY Steel show. They are amazing human beings for their part in that show. Today I just finished Behind the Music and now have even more respect for them. Keep going guys. You're the best.

Hi fellows thraxheads i consider myself to be australia's number 1 fan.I have been listening to anthrax for over 15 years so if u ever want some information about them just give us a yell!!!

PS GUESS WHAT .....I LOVE TO DRINK BUSLOADS OF BEER HAHAHA

Ahoy ahoy my real names rich. i'm from walsall here in the west midlands in sunny england, i've been into anthrax since '87 my school days and have followed them ever since . They are one of the few metal bands i still listen to as these days its mostly punk, old school rap, hardcore, ska and emo that tickles my fancy, but as anthrax never sold out and never went shit and continued to make cutting edge metal i could never give up on them !!!!!!!!!!1

Hello, I'm Itsnothingno, named after one of my fav songs.

I teach music at the high school level, I have been an Anthrax fan since SOWN. I really wasn't in to anything heavy (mostly Van Halen and the Cult) till I heard ONLY!

Anthrax has changed my life, I now have a purpose in life because of Scott's fuzzy goatie.

Till Vinny Paul eats Charlie's drums onstage during Crush, I'll be a Thraxhead!

oh, how is your cow doing?

My real name is Ernie, I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and I am an alcoholic.

Oops, wrong place! I've got a year left in my residency in Psychiatry, at which time I'll head back to Edmonton to open up a practice. Married, no kids...yet. Teaching my wife to appreciate Anthrax, and playing Anthrax to my unborn baby. :)

First metal album was Van Halen's 1984 when I was in grade 6, and eventually my tastes evolved. Discovered Anthrax when I got the "I'm the Man" ep out of a bargain bin in 1987, and loved the live version of Caught in a Mosh, so I bought ATL a week later to get the studio version. Liked them, bought their albums, but I was still more of an AC/DC and Metallica fan, Anthrax somewhere else in the top 5 or the top 10.

Then Bush joined the band, and I was blown away. The weakest link was gone, and everytime I listened to SOWN, it got better and better. I bought a portable discman because of that album, because copying the CD it to tape to listen to it in my walkman just wouldn't have done it justice. Wasn't sure about Stomp at first, but again it grew with each listening. By this time, Anthrax had moved into being my second favorite band behind AC/DC (after Metallica dropped their load), and by the time Volume 8 came out, I realized that it wasn't just a great album or two that I liked, it was a great band, and Anthrax has been my favorite band ever since.

And I don't have a cow, man.

I don't have a cow either. Apartment complexes frown on that.

My name is Heidi, I live in Phoenix, I'm married and I have a 12 month old son, and I will let the cat out of the bag now: I'm pregnant again. I found out last night and go to the doctor next Thursday. They'll probably need an ultrasound to check my due date because my cycle is off, but it's either Dec 8 or later. It's a little sooner than I was planning, but things like that can happen. :)

I first heard of Anthrax in 88 or so, on HBB, but I didn't think they were the greatest cause their singer was lame. But once they got Bush, they RULED, as so many people have already said.

My names Jamie. I live in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Been a fan since '89. First Anthrax I heard was Spreading the disease. They were the first Metal band I had ever heard (I lived a Sheltered life). I grew up on "pop" radio, so I did not get much exposure to Metal bands. Have been a fan ever since. I am A Electrician, and a single dad. My son is 9 months old, and it is just me, Hunter, and my Black Lab "Kirby". We are living the singles guy life.

Thanks, and um...I guess so.

I'm a little nervous about having a newborn and a toddler but I'm sure I'll be fine. Tired, but fine. Good thing is I have very little to buy except for girl's clothes if I have a girl. I'm not pleased with the current names either, but I don't think he's budging.

My name is Bob. I live in Northern Ireland and I'm 23. At the moment I'm trying to save some money to fund myself through another degree probably in Development Economics with the aim to continue on and do a PhD.

I love all types of metal (Maiden are my favourite band) and I'm a big fan of thrash (I've yet to listen to a thrash band I don't like). I first heard Anthrax when I was 9 or 10 and have loved them ever since. Unlike most of the other members of the board I love Belladonna's vocals.

I love sports too. Rugby (i play hooker) and cricket being my favourites.

My name is Stan Harkleroad, a.ka. "The Man" or Stan "The Man". I have lived in Ocean Springs, MS all my life. I'm 25 now, going on 26 this October and have been married to a great woman since June 1999. I work a shitty job as a casino security guard, but am currently going to school for a degree in Suneral Service Technology, meaning I'm want to cut on dead people for a living. Perfect occupation for me.

I have been listening to Anthrax since the last part of 1988 not long after State Of Euphoria came out. I also stareted listening to Metallica around the same time. I instantly fell in love with metal music. I was very big into Metallica until 1992 when my mom died. I didn't care about most music afte that until I head Pearl Jam later that year. I became a huge fan of them while still having my old love for Anthrax and metal music in the background. In 1999 I started to get heavily back into Anthrax and they have been pretty much #1 on my list since then.

Hello everyone. My name is Terry and I'm from Deshler OH. It's located between a corn field and a bean field. Better yet, it's about 1hr sw of Toledo.
I first heard Anthrax in 87 when I first borrowed my cousins I'm the man tape. The next week I went and bought A.T.L. and have been a fan ever since. Stomp 442 is the cd that I like least of all. I have only listened to it about 5 times. Maybe it's one of those that grows on ya and I didn't give it enough time.

Hey, My name is Aaron and I am an alcoholic, Doh, wrong board...

I am a paver by day and a guitarist in a band called Ripfence by night, we are actually really good and we might make a splash in the current music(insert pop here) scene where there are currently NO old school metal bands coming out! I like to drink and party frequently I don't remember when I started listening to Thrax, uh, 4 years ago maybe. but they are one of my top three metal bands now, and that is saying alot because I listen to many, many metal bands.

P.S. 442 IS my fav Anthrax album, RASV is a great song, it definitly grows on you!

Im 27 from new mexico, last thrax i saw was with motley crue and megadeth (left after anthrax opened). Me and a buddy were the only ones moshing after the first 2 songs, and after people saw us, there was a fucking huge pit. Scott ended up dedicating Bring the Noise to "those crazy motherfuckers that started that pit". That my friends is what metal is all about.

I also started playing guitar because of thrax, and in owe a large part of my happiness as a person to their influence. Thanks guys.

-loyal friend in NM
mosher mike

Anthrax was the first and last heavy band i listen too.
