I guess you can make it what you want! My explanation starts with the song Ghost of perdition being the raping of a woman by Satan. The offspring becomes the Antichrist. The rest of the album(to me) flows lyrically through this young mans life until the climax, which is The Grand Conjuration. In this song, Satan is conjured through him to "gather his flock" and prepare for the battle of armageddon. Something like that. At least that is what I took from it. Someone enlighten me if I'm way off!

I belive Satan makes the protagonist to kill his own mother and after realizing what Satan made him to do, escapes into the woods. Then Satan sends his hounds to hunt him down, but once again he manages to escape and for a short moment of peace, rejects Satan's will. However, he cannot return to his home and slowly decides to surrender to His will as there's no place for him anymore in the human society.
My favorite kind of story - one that is in the wrong order, has chapters that don't have anything to do with the plot, and in fact, isn't a story at all.

let me pose a hypothetical question here as analogy? if a bridge is complete except for one small section near the end, is it still a bridge?
