i think it's all psychological - if you really love someone it might be comfortable and pleasant, but if you love someone but nothing about him/her exciting anymore and all is routine it might be boring and really uncomfortable

Edit: That kind of sounds bad. No, I don't go sleeping around with other people. With the few people I've slept with in the past, I was never comfortable hugging . I have a hard time sleeping with someone in the same bed even when they're not close to me.

I laughed out loud when I saw this topic, because my boyfriend and I have come to a decision that makes me very excited. I'm moving in with him this summer, and both of us sleep stretched out, with tons of pillows, him wrapped in covers, me needing both feet sticking out the sides -- all of which is impossible to do in his queen-size bed, and even impossible in a king bed. Sooo...we're going to shove our two queen beds together and have seperate sheets and blankets. It will be the biggest bed EVAR. Feeling cuddly? Come on over to my side! Feeling horny? I don't think it is possible to sleep comfortably hugging someone. I personally can only sleep lying on my stomach with my head turned to the right. I'm also so used to sleeping alone that I couldn't imagine not sleeping alone. I need a girlfriend.
