There is also the tendency for tons of talentless clone bands to try and imitate something that is great, watering down what might be an excellent sound into a lifeless bastardization of what that sound once was.

If you start to hear bucketloads of bands copying In Flames' or Dark Tranquillity's sound (has already happened, even in the underground!), and are bombarded by that every day on the radio, you'll soon start to get sick of the genre.

Mainstream = shit (IMO)

I am scared that some great metal bands, and everyone will be into metal wannabees, like how a lot of people are starting to listen to punk. which will cause use to loose our individuality and will just be like everyone else.

What are some really good bands far from selling out?
