Just read a somewhat cryptic message from Truls Haugen on Facebook that says Circus Maximus will be playing and/or filling in for Pagan's Mind for some upcoming shows. Not sure what is up, anyone have any info?

Pagan's Mind Dear friends,

as you might know, we are off to do the ”Revelation to 2012” European tour together with Symphony X on Wednesday 28th of September, and travel for over three weeks covering most of Western Europe. We can´t wait to see you all again, it will be a blast!

Due to unforeseen circumstances that popped up just a few weeks ago and can not be solved in a different way, I won´t be able to do three of the shows. I will do the shows in Hamburg and Bochum (the first two dates of the tour), but the next three German gigs (C-Club in Berlin, Colos-Saal in Aschaffenburg and Backstage Halle in Munich) will be with someone else behind the microphone. This is the first time ever I have had to ask for help, but this is the only solution right now as I don't want the band to cancel these important shows. And hopefully - though I know we have found the right solution - it will be the last time I need assistance.

I called my good friend Michael Eriksen from Circus Maximus, and he is willing to help out. Being a loyal friend and colleague over many years, I felt he was the man to fill in. Michael has a fabulous voice, which he proved on a big scale when replacing Khan from Kamelot at ProgPower USA last year. Michael also brings with him our multi-talented friend Truls Haugen, drummer for Circus Maximus and Insense, but also the singer(!) for Beyond Twilight, and they will both be handling vocal duties for these three shows. Some of you know that Truls has sung with us before (as a guest at Progpower USA in 2009, feel free to look that up on YouTube). In true Pagan's Mind fashion; expect nothing but quality. This whole situation might be a little odd to most people, especially me, but speaking for the whole band: Pagan's Mind are confident it will be good time for everyone. With the Circus Maximus guys up on stage together with Pagan's Mind, we simply know you will be in for a special treat!

Michael and Truls state that ”It takes two to replace a Rue”, haha! Jokes aside, both are truly amazing vocalists and will be doing our songs just great.

I will be back out on the road for the gig in Milan on October 7th and the rest of the tour, of course. A big thank you to Michael and Truls for helping me and my bandmates out. I hope for your understanding and look forward to see you on tour! (Except for those three dates, that is.)

Man, that guy is just a hero. And kudos to Pagan's Mind for not cancelling.

++ Both bands are class acts and Mike is indeed the man. Would be great to see these shows with the different musicians in play. Hope someone records it (with permission.)

Damn now i would love to see Micheal and Truls do Pagan's Mind stuff, okay let's get both of those bands on tour over here quick.

Gotta give Michael Eriksen a lot of credit. Seems like whenever some vocalist can't do it, Michael Eriksen fills in! It's pretty sweet how he is not only very dedicated to his own band, but has such a passion for music & performing that he'll fill in/help out whoever is in need of a vocalist!:headbang:

Hope Nils is well!

I'm actually wondering if Nils' girlfriend (wife?) is okay. I know she's pregnant, and the sudden departure that Nils needs to make causes me to wonder if SHE is alright. I hope everything is well with both of them.

Wishing Nils the best, and seeing how it's a few dates , and not the whole tour, I'm thinking he'll be ok.

Micheal & Truls are f'n troppers for helping out....great bunch of guys, I wish them all the best! :headbang:

The two part harmony adds something, I love it. Damn those two can sing.
I confirm that live it sounded much better than my above video managed to show. Hope they release a better recording of that. And besides the fact that they can sing, they can have plenty of fun which makes the show even richer ;)
