Hey guys, first I just want to say that this forum rocks :headbang: i have learned so much here, it's unreal....

anyways, i am the drummer for my band, but i do a fair amount of the arranging and creation of our music. my problem is that i tend to come up with a lot of ideas in my head, whether it be keyboard chords, or choir parts etc, but i have pretty limited keyboard experience, so i cant really play the ideas that i have. i can, howerer, sing the parts pretty well (my intonation sucks, but i can hit the notes :erk: ) . is there a program that would perhaps take the notes i sing and turn them into midi notes, or that would at least tell me what i am singing??? it would be awesome if it had midi capability, because i could import that right into ewql orchestral strings.

yeah, do they make anything like this???

thanks!

haha I'm a guitar player and sometimes use software to convert a rythm to midi if i'm to lazy to "count it out"
there is also a lot of freeware which can convert a "monophonic" soundfile to midi... just search

Hehe, I was thinking some time ago about "singing" some guitar riffs and convert them through Melodyne to midi file... I don't know if it will work, I will try it soon, but is there maybe anyone of you who tried this crazy method yet? What was the results? Any good?
