Is this a AL-KHV?

one more question.. i was thinking abou the jackson stars in the other thread..

is it possible to get one of those and remove the pickguard, tone controls and repaint it?

got damn im a noob

plz, anyone with rhoads knowledge.. is the pickguard easy to remove as on a strat, les paul etc??

and can one disconnect one volume control and tone control?

you should just do what i did, get a RX10D body, and start plugging away. Plug the Neck PU (if you want) and the toggle switch, sand them level and paint.

yeah sure, but an simpler way would still be to get the jackson stars, plus it's a neckthrough and got 24 frets

so if i get that one, remove pickguard and one volume knob, tone control and pickiup switch, sand it fill the wholes with (dont know what its called in english) and sand it again, repaint it and make the bevels! plug in an emg 81 and change the hardware to gold...

thats my plan and io wanna know if its possible!

you are going to go through a lot of trouble doing that, seeing as the control cavity is pretty bit, i would get one and do that, or i woul djust make a neck thru blank, and try and get a nice headstock from Jackson, and bind it myself.

(im learning more and more each day about buidling these guitar things)

yeah, well i am goning to ask a luthier abou these things i guess.. dont wanna spend cash on something that might turn out bad

but im thinking of keeping the neck picup as i like to have two hums for some solo runs and clean sounds.. it would be an emg 60 in that case..

what problems will i occur disconnectiong the tone control and one of the volume controls?

it should be too hard. . just a master volume, and a master tone. . .or two tones and a master volume, it that case, stick to the regulat RX10D style and dril another hole.

well the jackson stars model im checking out very much right now has 2 volume (one for each hum i guess) and one tone control..

can't one "max" the levels on one of the volume controls and the tone control and then remove the knobs, and so on...

the reason im being annoying is:

A ) It's hard to find/will take time to find the right parts for the guitar

B ) the stars is a neckthru 24 fret which means i dont have to go throug all the trouble i am scared of encountering while getting a 24 fret neck into place!

c ) it'll be cheaper!

sorry for being a newbie

it says "we'll ship worldwide" ?!?

my father might help me, he knows about these things..

i guess what i really want to know is: What will i see when i remove the pickguard? The Shit that is usually on the back of a guitar with no pickguard? cables and shit?

Jackson's are still built to the same specs. They're just manufactured by Fender. Fender also has more funding, which is why they now have a JS-30RR for $299. It's a 24 fret bolt-on Rhoads. Swap it with a DK or DR model sharkfin neck and throw an EMG in and you're good to go.

:erk: sadly no more those motherfuckers at Fender bought them out. There are no more real Jacksons. Neither is my Charvel a real Charvel, oh well
uhh. . no.

its not like fender gave them crap wood, shitty tools and a handful of mexicans to work for them. . .its still mike shannon, masterbuilder, who runs the workshop. Its no different form any other pre-FMIC jackson
