It would be a better world if...

It would be a better world if Hot Topic wasn't such a pussy store and stocked more metal shit - including KFK Industries clothing.

It would be a better world if Emo didn't exist

It would be a better world if your car never ran out of gas

It would be a better world if Mike went back to Bloodbath

It would be a better world if I got a decent band started, signed, and touring.

if people stopped forming so many bloody organisations. Does America really need the "Consumers Union" and the "Consumer Federation of America"? I think not.

if people stopped asking the government to ban stuff every time something bad happens. Drugs, guns, computer games, chat rooms, heavy metal music, horror flicks, animal testing...every time I see some morally outraged citizen beefing about today's brand new menace to human existence, I feel like kicking them until they're dead. If you want a completely safe and moral society, you've got to ban absolutely everything, including human beings, and if these concerned parents and busybodying meddlers get their way, it'll happen soon enough. "But what if we just ban...". NO. We taxpayers waste far too much money enforcing bans on things that should never have been made illegal in the first place. WE THE PEOPLE ARE WEAK AND STUPID AND WE DEMAND THAT YOU SAVE US FROM OURSELVES

if they re-introduced the death penalty. I'm not talking a discreet hanging or a civilised lethal injection, I'm talking crucifixions in the town square, with placards detailing the criminal's name and offences. Combine draconian punishments with liberal laws and a fair and efficient social welfare system and things will improve. They ought to execute a few people at secondary school assemblies, as well (the school that the criminal attends or used to attend would be ideal) - the agonised screams of some larcenous scallywag getting his well-earned portion of the cruel and unusual would hopefully haunt the children forever. That's what I call "personal and social education".

Certain people need to be scared shitless. A person's sense of moral decency only stretches as far as it does, and sometimes that isn't far enough. Something has to plug the gap. Fear of being killed in unimaginably hideous ways by an efficient justice system focused solely on real crime will do nicely. Anyway, it's probably solely an academic discussion. I mean, would you vote for me?

It would be a better world if weed grew on trees, if people didn't believe in fake shit like God, if there were no cops, and if the government had no power over us. :kickass:
if you were dead ^^

that is the most stupid post i think i have ever seen. i dont think you even touched on anything slightly intelligent.

and continuing ...it would be a better world if;

people (like the above) weren't so fucking ignorant and stupid. instead of believing any two bit bullshit conspiracy theory, they actually went out and did some research for themselves.

if people weren't didn't have such 'bleeding heart' attitudes towards laziness and inequality. [the absolute poverty stricken excluded]

if people realised life isnt meant to be fair.

good thread.

*edit*

in resopnse to lord667 - i was pro-death penalty a few years ago, and i do agree scare tactics would lessen crime. but, if one innocent person is killed, it makes it all unworthwhile. chances are its not going to be you, but what if it was. bet you wouldnt like it. this is a realisation i believe all people should come to. but i guess thats just my opinion.

how about if they took all the redundant safety labels off of everything, & let natural selection run its course? *g*

Don't think I haven't considered that. They're pretty much the same arguments that I used, until fairly recently, when I finally switched to pro-death penalty.
