....if there's still a producer/guitarist who doesn't have a 2203: YOU FAIL!!!!!

seriously, those amps are so awesome, especially the old JMP and early vert input 800s

here's some Nevermore with the JMP 2203....

2203+TS

Mesa Cab, single sm57

settings are in the "comments" section of the mp3 tag.

if you wanna be taken seriously: get yourself a 2203 or 2204!

who here has one?

Had an original 80's and sold it for a BlackStar....if i ever get enough $$ I might get another, theres that new zakk wylde model coming out could be a goer - if your "B" test had 6550's in it :)

you sir, are an idiot! :D

but I've done equally stupid things before....4 times so far, NEVER gonna sell/trade this one though, it's the best one so far (they all sound different)

Ha ! I knew that was coming, yeah I got married and had kids too ! :)

yeah the 2003 was great for slow stuff and solos,

but by far my biggest fuck up was selling my trace elliot V4 - what a fucking great bass head :(

My '77 JMP 2203. Still completely stock except for the power tubes. Also had a few more '70's 2203's including a '78 2203 (modded) but it was stolen.

I can't afford a 2203, but I am thinking of building a clone in the next few months. lately I've been recording a lot of bands that just ASK for the Marshall tone.

sounds really good!
are we speaking about the original 1975 models or the 2203 in general!?

cheers
S.

I have a couple of cascaded 1959/1987's that I built. Same thing as the 2203/2204's except the V1b cathode resistor/cap.

'75 1959 100w Metal Panel JMP Super Lead. '67 1959 100W Plexi, a '69 200w Major, and a 2204'd Blackface Bassman.

Yeah Lasse everyone sure wouldn't mind having a 2203, but I wouldn't mind a bottomless pot of gold either ;)

Maybe a Bugera 1960 would be a good choice to butcher to 2203 specs? The 1990 is a 4100 clone (why oh why...)
