Mistress, that would depend on the band and your own point of view. floyd is not metal and they are better then most metal bands. Old metallica is better then new shittica. Zepplin is agreat band but I would not say they are better then metallica (old school). And so on. But I am just talking about my on point of view. Life is but multiple windows of points of views.

hey if music makes you feel good regardless of its genre, then just go with it, I love metal but I will not limit myself. frinstance I think the new Opeth - Damnation is just an incredible listen...

first off, sum 41 still rules. justice kicks ass. inflames turned soft. please dont tell me you enjoyed clayman? thats laughable. and dont ever compare inflames in metallica. they cant even be mentioned in the same sentence. and when this new metallica cd comes out. youll be eating those words. floyd is good. next to the beatles, i think zepp is the next most overrated band ever.
Clayman blew, but not as much as R2R. In Flames isn't in the same league as Metallica.
Masie, I think you misunderstand the point...if Sum-41 were playing good punk, I'd like it too. The reason I wish they played metal is because they can play really good metal that I like. They obviously enjoy playing metal, but they don't, and I think the reason is because it's not profitable. That makes me angry.

That is very true, metallica is like = to STP now. I mean that is if we are compairing them as how they are now. If not, then old school metallica is some what as good as In Flames. Then again, if we are talking in general, then again I WOULD say In Flames is still better then Metallica. And I will not be eating my words when metallicas new cd comes out because it will be another load or at best another black album. Stop holding on to that last bit of hope you have for your dieing old folks club. Then again how long has it been since they put out a cover cd. lolPyrus said:

first off, sum 41's single 'still waiting' stole its main riff from an underground black metal band bout an hour north of here. aparently one of the dudes in the band heard they like metal so he sent them a demo, then bam, he hears his own fuckin riff on mtv haha. ive listened to both songs, and its exactly the same. ALSO, mr pyrus you say clayman blows, but you continue to promote bands like metallica, judas priest, and the rest of that boring ass thrash shit. shut the fuck up. (yes we're still friends heh)
