Lost In Necropolis
Mine is something like:

1/2. In Vain - The Latter Rain
2/1. Pale Divine - Cemetery Earth
3/4. Reverend Bizarre - III: So Long Suckers
4/3. Slough Feg - Hardworlder
5. Deathspell Omega - Fas, something or other that I can't fucking remember.
6. Mael Mordha - Gaeltacht Mael Mordha
7. Sigh - Hangman's Hymn
8. Darkestrah - Epos
9. Doomsword - My Name Will Live On
10. Graveland - Will Stronger Than Death

(Symphony X gets a notable mention now)

My first 4 keep changing, haha. I really dunno how I can put any of those 4 albums ahead or behind each other. They all win in their own right.

Still got the new Drudkh, Wittr and a few others to go give some time to, but the top 4 will probably stay and keep jumbling between those 4.

As for disappointments...

Winds
King Diamond
Menhir
Alcest
Uaral

All 5 of those are capable of better, but released SHIT, IMO. Especially Winds. WTF happened?!

Oh, and Deathspell's new album is in there somewhere. How the fuck could I forget about that, haha. Thats probably 5.

*Edits list*

1) Mael Mordha - Gaeltacht Mael Mordha

And then in no particular order

Alcest - Souvenirs... ( I think its a great album :p)

Manegarm - Vargstenen
Doomsword - My Name Will Live On
Slough Feg- Hardworlder
Shroud of Bereavement - Alone Beside Her
Drudkh - Estrangement
Graveland - Will Stronger Than Death

The new arkona and wolves in the throne room albums will probably end up in there somewhere.

all this gojira...were the albums re-released in the US this year?

I have a feeling for some reason that none of them initially came out in 2007.

also that Entombed, sadly, did little for me.

Manegarm-Vargstenen
Dimmu Borgir-In Sorte Diaboli
Vintersorg-Solens Rotter

Lumsk was a huge dissapointment. If Code comes out this year it will surely make my list.

My two favorites:

Dark Tranquillity - Fiction
Symphony X - Paradise Lost
Ziltoid has been rapidly growing on me. It's much better than I first thought.

The new Nile and Behemoth both really disappointed me as both of their previous albums are some of my favorite death metal albums.
