i've decided to devote my life to the lord

Nuns have no fun, unless you buy a calendar from them. I suppose catholic priests have fun though!

We're born with no faith to speak of, and our caretakers tend to teach us their beliefs and views, so for the most part, yes. It works that way for all beliefs.

Of course indoctrination plays a part, as it does in every one's life, not just in matters of religion. But to present it as an implication of inferiority is ridiculous. Inferiority here being that because one only follows their indoctrination without thinking for themselves shows they have a lower intelligence.

Edit: And what's wrong with saying fudge?

At least they don't do what this fat Mexican Christian dyke did the other day and show up at my door expecting money for her Christian school to go to London.

well, doesnt it? (not saying thats you)

and i dont think anyone made that implication, you jumped there on your own.

The implication is usually there, so I'm addressing it whether you meant it or not. It almost always comes up.

If I'm getting your reasons for my quote correctly, if someone blindly follow their faith then yeah, they're not too intelligent. As Christians, we're called to examine our faith and especially our teachers/elders. People in any religion should. But there's usually a gross generalization that all Christians lack intelligence and follow without question. That's not true.
