hey
i am thinking about bying an jackson rr model.
the rr3 for example is wuite cheap.. about 700 euros i think.
is this a good quality instrument?

<img src="http://www.fender.com/new_repository/jackson_charvel/images/RR3_Rhoads_md.jpg">

but you know is this a good instrument with fine quality?

or should i just head for a "JACKSON USA Selected Series RR1T - Randy Rhoads TRANSPARENT RED".
which is the guitar of my dreams for about 2700 euros?

help me jacksonplayers!!

RR1 is best but if you get one make sure it has 24 frets.... you may have to do a special order to get 22 fret though :(

I;m just building my own with warmoth parts, one exactly as i want it will cost £3000 from jackson, i can dop one exactly the same with custom paintjob for £650 from warmoth.

I know that didn't help, but it is an option.

i thinking about doing one from warmoth, just thinking, maybe one day. im looking for a new guitar. im thinking about getting an ibanez S370. time to go down to the music shop and play one. ive always liked the way the S's play. im just looking for an all around guitar to play stuff other than metal. my bc rich NJ virgin sounds like crap on the clean channel trying to play songs like sweet home alabama. so, im just gonna throw in some dual EMG 81s and tune it to C or C#, if it doesnt sound like crap due to the loosened strings.

well this warmothstuff. does it have an website?

yeah i think i will have to go for the rr1 cause rr3 is bolt-on :(.
anyways, great playing guitars.

the difference between the RR1 and the RR1T is that the RR1 has a tremolo and the RR1T is a string-trough

If you can afford the RR1, go for that one.. 100 times better than the RR3 and definately worth your extra money

yes i know.
but you know. my ibanez felt great when i bought it, but as i improved i noticed that it was'nt the best quality guitar (rg270dx).

and the fact is that if i wan't to try this one i will have to travel 300 kilometers down the coundtry since i live in a small town in the middle of nowhere, and i dont want to spend alot of money on traintickets (about 50 euros) just to try something that maybe a piece of junk guitar that just tries to look like the original (squier anyone).
:)

thats why i ask you guys. maybe you've played it and can tell from your experience wether it is an quality instrument or not..
the main reason for wanting to buy a new guitar is that the sustain of my ibanez sucks. on 22 fret it's about one second :)

I have a RG270DX too haha, what a coincidance

The RR5 is awesome.. but you got to like the gold hardware.. personally I really love the ivory one with gold hardware, but I really dislike the black one..

The RR5 had quality pick-ups (seymour duncans) and is very well build..
I thinks it's a bit overpriced.. damn Europe.. those americans can get their jackson so much cheaper.. aw well..

haha, know what you mean wildchild :) so what do you think about the rg270dx? :):)

yes the ivoryone is beatuiful but i wouldn like the transparent red one. looks amazing with gold hardware! i love it!

but 1300 euros aint that expensive for a neck-thru RR i think!
