If you don't know the SE, it has internal bias trim pots wired to green, red, and yellow LED lights for fine tuning, which allows you to rebias on the fly. Pretty genius move on their part. It takes less than a minute to rebias your amp to any set of tubes you could ever want.

When NM played the Fillmore last time they were in SF, the guitar tone was DISTRACTINGLY bad. And when my friends and I confronted Jeff and Steve about it, we got the 'salesman-with-a-lemon responses'. "I really like them." "They're great amps." "I'm really happy with it." Puh-lease. Krank was, is, and will always be subpar, over-marketed, shoddy stanky krap.

Totally agree, dude.

I saw them play twice with Krank's. The sound was ass. It sounded like a metal zone or something. The guitars were fuzzy and muffled as hell. The only thing that cut through, really, was when Loomis played his leads. But that's just because he rocks so much cock.

ENGL makes some pretty killer stuff. I'd love to own one. But I think the sickest amp I've ever played was the Bogner XTC. Holy shit, that amp is just insane. Most old farts set it up for vintage rock faggot tones, but the red channel with the right settings is just brutal-as-fuck.
