Jeff Loomis endorses Engl!!!!!

Nevermore are one of my favourite bands of all time, I'm pretty sure it'll sound damn awsome whatever he chooses being such an unreal musician. Personally the SE and savage 120 have opened my eyes back upto engl and taken my fancy.

At least in Jeff's case, I would definitely say "no". Even just like 3 months ago, he was saying that he liked the Krank tone better than Chris's Engl. But, he also seemed to have a desire to explore other amps than Krank, citing the fact that he had never actually signed any paperwork with them and could technically "leave" them whenever he wanted. I've never heard him say a bad thing about the Krank people though, so even if there are some personnel issues within Krank, it has nothing to do with Jeff's situation...in fact, I remember him saying that he would feel bad if he "left" Krank, because they've been so good to him.

My guess is that when playing these recent Europe festivals with an Engl, he realized just how much he really loved the sound...enough so to jump ship. But that's just a guess.

That's cool to hear. But the fanboy in me just wants to hear an Andy Sneap production with Engl:rock:

I wanted to say, that Jeff got interviewed for some special in the German Rock Hard Magazine called Tone Zone some years ago.
He was testing different 4x12 cabinets (Mesa Boogie Slant, Engl Pro, Marshall 1960, Peavey 5150) and he had to choose the amp, the article said that he had to choose between a Dual Recto, some Marshall amp, Peavey 5150, Engl Savage and a Line6 Head I think and Jeff wanted the Engl Savage, so I think it's not only about getting endorsed by Engl because he gets the stuff free (but he prefered the Mesa cabinet at the end, but said it was to expensive).
That was the first time I read the name Engl and Jeff Loomis :D (it was 2001 or 2002, I played electirc guitar for about a year or so at that time).
