Jesus died for you

Taylor... you seem to have a lot of evidence to support our claims and ideas... That is always a good thing... but I am not sure what your trying to say... Are you trying to say that all who do not believe in Christ and follow his teachings are damned? I do not believe in a God... a Christ... or anything... I do not believe in "science as the absolute." I do not believei n humanity. I have no idea what I believe in. I actually beleive in being a good person, and treating people well. The fact that I do not believe in christ makes me what? A sinner? A person who is in need of enlightenment or upon my death, forgiveness? I do not believe that I should have to be forgiven for my choices, especially in the realm of belief and faith. What is in store for me in your mind? Or any other who believes as I do.

bob, i like it
i like it a lot
also, i am nobody's toy (except perhaps my boyfriend's, bt thats nt the point) and the earth belongs to no one, we are privileged to be here and we should take care of the earth better. we should also take better care of oneanother but neither of these things are very likely in modern society, more's the pity.
energies move in all of us, and in my opinion it's the mastery of these energies that gives us our futures
god isn't real to me
death is
we will all die
its whether our energy is strong enough to take a certain path or weak enough to be blown around in the winds of aeternitas for evermore once we leave our corporeal form

He has a lot to say on religion. He takes the 10 commandments, and busts them down to 2.

hes one of the smartest comedians i know.

another thing

You people may know perfecterror, she is a christian, and thats awesome, but the best part about her is that she can read this stuff, and not be swayed from her convictions, and that awesome too. While I myself have lost my faith, she has kept it up, and read many peoples comments, and hasn't been swayed. The fact that someone can stand up to all this "skepticism" and still have faith is awesome to me.

my religious beliefs are all pretty much in a book called "San Manuel Bueno" (dont know the translation) of Miguel de Unamuno

as for the institution itself, im not too fond of it, specially after having a fanatic mother and dating a guy who wanted to be a priest and thought the person that invented condoms went to hell body and soul
very traumatic for me *shudders*

i just re-read this thread and for a short amount of time i laughed uncontrollably. dudes, just agree to disagree
i personally think that Jesus was a Magikian from egypt about whom all kinds of stories were written
i also think the old testament is bollocks - a dude promised dude2 all his stripey goats if he did a job for him, dude2 does the job but dude hides all his stripey goats. dude2 gets a stick n strips some of the bark off it so it's stripey n puts it infront of dude's non-stripey goats when they mate. abracadabra, stripey baby goats!

and on this rubbish you base your lives?
good luck to you

but like bobvex says, that laydee is klass. i lost faith in the god christians love when i did actually read the bible and looked at the world, the tragedies, miracles, beautiful things, painful things n decided my beliefs as they are now. i don't want to press my beliefs on people, nor do i want theirs pushed on me
agree to disagree and be who you are
