Well, I'm not sure that's the notable part of all of this. I mean, hell, Scott and Frankie have been jammin at the new club, and Scott played a gig with Pearl, etc.etc. recently.

It's just the fact that Joey's doing a solo gig after soooo long that raised my eyebrow

Why? He never helped write before. The albums always said "written by Anthrax", but Charlie did the music, Scott did the lyrics, and Frank helped with melody lines. From what the band said Joey did little to no writing.

According to a posting on the web site of the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City, ANTHRAX vocalist Joey Belladonna will be one of the support acts for OVERKILL at the venue on January 28, 2007. Also appearing on the bill are METAL CHURCH and MELIAH RAGE.

Joey Belladonna recently made three full albums' worth of solo material available for paid download via his official web site.

Commented Joey: "These songs are assorted experiments that I have done and are varied in style. They are sort of 'one-offs,' basically just songs that I wanted to record for fun."

Each MP3 is available for purchase for $0.99 from this location.

ANTHRAX is expected to release a new studio album in 2007 — the group's first since the reunion of the classic "Among the Living" lineup (featuring Belladonna and guitarist Dan Spitz).
