Regardless of your opinion on which singer is actually better, please explain how a song written for/by John Bush is "meant to be sung by Joey?"
Waiting for an answer 6er.

Think of it like arranging a trackmeet for quadrilplegics. It's nice that someone is doing something for the challenged but, by it's very nature, the product better serves the able-bodied.
I never even liked Only from the get go. IMO that entire Sound of White Noise albums was garbage. That was Anthrax trying to go grunge. When Only was released as the first single I was totally disappointed. I didn't care who was singing on it. I just didn't like the more Alternative sound. Especially after Persistence of Time which was fucking amazing.
That being said I think Joey sounded great on this song. You can't ask for much more. I love Joey, he is a good guy and a great singer. I think he has a better interaction with the crowd. He sounded just fine on this song. The song still sucks. But that has nothing to do with who is singing it.
Thumbs up to Joey on this song. Thumbs down to Scott Ian and co for writing gay songs like this.
ok ive listened to this a bunch of times and it fucking ROCKS
I've been listening to the new Sonsisphere vids alongside late 80's/early 90's live vids. Joey actually sounds as goods now as he did in most of those old vids. Someone ought to freeze some of his DNA.
Who's bashing Bush? He is amazing and superaggressive within his one octave.
I agree. sounds like he's singing lower than bush would.
I hope too...but I'm afraid that Joey might want to prove that he can do those songs too...at least that's what he's been saying all these years since he was first fired...
...well, actually until now - now he is saying that he is just certain type of singer who can NOT become someone else or can NOT change the way he sings - take it or leave it...
To me Joey's version of ONLY sounds like Geoff Tate singing blues...heart and soul are missing - Joey hardly knows what that song is about...

I dont know about these guys but for myself the older I get the lower my tone becomes. Seems the same with other singers I know. Heck just listen to early saint and then Bushthrax. Listen to STD and then POT. It gets harder to hit super high notes let alone hold em so you change your register a bit.

Do you prefer the Scott Ian book reports on Stephen King?
