First, a special and gracious thanks to Glenn and everyone at PP for
the typical yet amazing PP weekend we enjoyed...Thanks to all!

In other news:

JON OLIVA'S PAIN have now been confirmed as the headliner of next year's ProgPower Europe festival, set to take place October 7, 2007 in Baarlo, Holland. We will also headline the Prog-power UK festival on March 31, 2007.

We will have an official US CD release (scheduled for October 25) concert at Bourbon Street Nightclub in New Port Richey, Florida on Saturday November 25. This is a really killer venue and we hope many of you will be in attendance. We are currently working on more US dates and hope to have some concrete information in the next week. The new release "Maniacal Renderings" broke the Top 100 in Germany last week and entered the charts at a respectable #86.

This years Prog-Power USA Festival was amazing as usual. We had a great time and hope to see everyone again very soon!

Woo Hoo - second the hat Trick vote. Picked up the new one at PP7 - I wanna see these tunes played live. That said - as tour dates are being set up - there's this state out west - called Colorado - it's really pretty - you guys should check it out :)

Unless Jon is expected to fulfil his duties with TSO, like he does now.

Remember how JOP announced several October dates for this year?

Announcing dates ONE year before the shows is weird considering the dates announced last month were cancelled a few weeks later. :erk:

Batmura...I can completely understand your frustration. We hated to cancel any shows. JOP's touring schedule has increased dramatically over the last 2 years and we expect that to continue. Having to cancel 6-7 shows is unfortunate and a situation we had to deal with since Oliva is the principal songswriter for TSO and recording a new record was priority for Jon when we returned from the Euro-festival tour.

Honestly, we cancelled our appearance at PP-Europe 2005 due to promoter and scheduling issues. We apologized to the PP promoter and we are commited to our appearance next year. Our fall tour for 2006 was very slippery from the beginning. We have 1 full year to line-up a proper tour and we will make good on our future tour plans. Playing live is what all of us at JOP live for. And we will re-schedule our shows in Turkey!
