Jorn DIO

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I like Jorn's version of Sacred Heart better than Dio's...but maybe it's the modern production quality that's catching my ears.

All in all, I agree, fantastic album.

Yes, the production is awesome, really well done...

Agree what's been said above about the album, it is truly a great album and tribute to one of the greatest vocalists.

Saw Jorn a week ago and filmed Song For Ronnie James. Turned out quite good and hope you'll like it also.

I want to get my hands on this one! I'm disappointed that he didn't cover anything from my second favorite Dio album, Lock Up The Wolves. :erk: I wish that he had sung the title track and Hey Angel.

I like it quite a bit. Jorn does a great job on this. My only little complain is that the drummer skips (or replaces) quite a few drum fills that I'm so used to hear in the original tracks.

As amazing as Jorn's Dio may be (and as great a Jorn fan as I WAS)... when you don't play your Dio at Sweden Rock (right next to the Dio tribute stage) right after your single comes out online and you pick your most slow-tempo songs to play the entire set, you've lost my respect. At Sweden Rock this year, Jorn literally said "how about R J Dio?!" and then went into as boring a song as he could pick...no Dio song whatsoever! Yuck.

He was about to play that song (second to last in the set), then someone told him he was running out of time, so in all the stress they went into "Are You Ready" instead because it's a shorter song, before they ended with "War Of The Worlds" (I think), which is the song they had planned to end the set with as it has a sing-a-long part.
That's what happens when you don't plan the set well enough, or you have too many guitar solos and a drum solo in the set...
