Anyone sound similar to Ray Gillen these days?

God knows, you can't replace a Ray Gillen! With that said, do we have anyone that's currently active/putting out material that remotely comes close?

For example, Jorn and Russell will always be able to scratch my Dio itch...especially Jorn.

i assume you picked up the BLACK SABBATH Eternal Idol deluxe edition? with the second disc with Ray singing on the album?

UPDATE!

Was just over at the RCR website and it looks like BADLANDS cds are gone! NEH only has Badlands for sale and even listed on the site. So i assume RCR blew through what they pressed. Sucks because those things need to be in print forever.

Yeah, I actually got that for Christmas last year...The Eternal Idol is one of my favs and I was stoked that Ray's demos got "officially" included!

Yeah, I noticed that NEH no longer has Voodoo Highway in stock and that worries me! I've got the debut Rock Candy re-issue, but I've never bought the Voodoo Highway re-issue. I do have two of the original Atlantic releases, but I still want the Rock Candy version as well.

I had completely forgotten that Gillen sang on a bunch of tracks on the Phenomena II- Dream Runner album. These are some great tunes...a little less heavy, but good quality songs. And of course, his amazing voice.

I was just listening to the first Lion's Share cd today, and I gotta say that Andy Engberg is pretty damned close in quality to Mr. Gillen. That whole cd kinda sounds like a follow up to "Eternal Idol", especially this tune:

Well...at least to me!
