Not as amazing as a proper (peterson) tuner.
Bah! Go with G-Tune for the PC. Peterson used it's core technology for thier "strobosoft" program, which IMO, is inferior.

Unfortunately, that'd require a PC, and launching a program every time I wanted to tune.
±.1 cents is accurate enough for me.

My beloved early Burny Super Grade ( Les Paul).
Hey guys. I fail to see how a tuner could replace a compensated nut. What am I missing?
Anyway, I think that's the best investment I have made lately. I love it.

No. My brother is a luthier so he did it. He had to remove a bit of laquer cause the original nut was sort of wrapped into it. He also had to file the earvana a bit cause it was a tad too high. I guess It's safer to give the job to a professional. I could not have done it myself without damaging the guitar.

Is the Earvana similar a Buzz Feiten system. I am really bothered by shitty intonation, and especially on a drop tuned guitar. I've never gotten a guitar perfectly in tune, you know, open it's in tune, but fret a chord and it's fucked!

I don't know how much the Buzz Feiten system differs from the Earvana. The do not look the same but are supposed to solve the same problem.Is the Earvana similar a Buzz Feiten system. I hear you about the open/fret chords. It's exactly what I wanted to fix and it works great. I play in drop D most of the time but I like to go back to standard tuning from time to time.
I play in Eb JUST because intonation is easier than a downtuned guitar. I like the sound of lower tuned stuff, but my OCD kicks in and I spend 4 hours trying to get the intonation right.
Maybe I should just get a decent baritone.
