Just had an interview with Mikael...

From the dark recesses of my memory:

A 14th century Hungarian countess who, with the help of various accomplices, allegedly murdered and tortured heaps of young peasant girls and boys to use their blood to bathe in. Thus, hopefully, causing her youthful beauty to remain.

Her accomplices had their hands cut off or something , while she was locked in a tower.....

Try 16th-17th century I think. She died in 1610.

When she was caught, masons walled her in her bed chambers, where food and drink was passed through a tiny hole.

She lived in darkness for nearly a year, where she died.
