Just listened to St. Anger for the first time in forever

Just finished Death Magnetic, I like it a lot. Bass is audible but not as good as Jason on the black album. I also know that I'm the only one who cares about bass lol

I do! I love a good bass line and when it is given a distinct voice as opposed to being lost in the mix. I remember reflecting on why I'm so picky with the metal I listen to. I figured out it's because the bass is not distinct. Rock bands tend to give it more love.
I love The Who, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Rush, Porcupine Tree...etc BECAUSE of the bass parts.
