I ordered some cute little ceramic decorations for Marie's tank. A bridge, a snail, and a frog. It's gonna be so tute! If they all arrive intact and stuff then I'm going to buy some ceramic things for Albert Fish's tank as well, like a viking ship.

Couldn't fit the frog and the snail in Marie's tank, so I put the snail in Albert Fish's tank. Also moved Marie's old tower into Albert Fish's tank as it's more his size. Still waiting on a really silly looking frog with a gaping mouth and tennis shoes to arrive. It shall replace the fluorescent cave in Albert Fish's tank. But as of today here's what they look like:

you know, my dad's oscar gets the ich once in awhile...after we stopped feeding him feeder fish it didnt come back so frequently...

I noticed a bit of algae in Albert's tank yesterday, in the back corner where the light shines brightest. So today I got a couple of black mystery snails! One for Marie, named Mamba, and one for Albert, named Adder. I figure it can't hurt to have them, and if they die, well, it was worth a try. I did get some algae wafers for them since the existing algae alone won't be enough for them. Ten more minutes of floating in their bag in Marie's tank and then I shall set them free. I think they had sex with each other the whole way home :zombie:

I think Adder might be dead or dying...not sure. He hasn't moved at all since I put him in Albert's tank. He was really stuck to the plastic bag from Petsmart. I fear I may have hurted him when removing him from the bag

Snails don't really eat algae, they nibble on it like most fish, but they won't eliminate it completely.
Algae is something that goes hand in hand in any fish tank, no excuses...
If anything, it means you're doing something right that it developed in the tank - it means the water is clean and suitable
You can reduce it by wiping it with a paper towel when you change your water

Adder's alright, he/she was just resting I guess. I put it on Albert's tower and it's moving around. Now Mamba is the one not moving! I assume he/she is just resting as well.
