KKKK = GREAT

You could forgive Saxon for not bothering too much with their native land, after many years of being scorned by a snobbish UK media, but tonight see the band returning home in style. Striking a deft balance between crowd-pleasing oldies and tracks from their new (and thoroughly excellent) "Lionheart" album, Biff Byford and co looked both surprised and gratified by the roars of adulation that greet their every move during nearly two and a half hours of gloriously unreconstructed melodic bluster.

Metal is clearly more popular in the UK than it has been for many years and the average age of Saxon's fan base has dropped accordingly, a fact that promises to keep this defiantly unfashionable band proudly afloat for some time to come.

I take it all back they did give a good review well done Dom Lawson ! :rock:

most of us will remember chris watts from kerrang who could forget the little wa-ker and we all no he dident do saxon any favours far from it and the guy did put me of the kerrang mag and the only time i do buy it now is when saxon are in it and this time round they have given a great album and concert review and well deserved it is as well.

Striking a deft balance between crowd-pleasing oldies and tracks from their new (and thoroughly excellent) "Lionheart" album - from kerrang and i couldent have put it better myself. NICE ONE SAXON

was there any photos accompanying the review Fingers? or was it just one of those 'hard to find and shoved with a load of others' ones?
Macc that was the entire review save a paragraph about Dream Evil, photo's don't be silly young man, all photographers had been despatched to the Nu Metal Fest aka Slipknot and Slayer !

Ah well, you can but dream. I personally would like to see a proper band photographed instead of some daft twats wearing masks and beating each other up (oh the sense of it all!)
