keyboard drumming!

This is just amazing dude!

Now do you set up dfh superior or whatever so that you know what keys are what. I tried this recently and everything was way spaced out on the keyboard. I also just tried to do some 16th on kicks like that and dam dude it ain't that easy!

Good stuff though man and any details of getting it setup would be great. I just got a m audio oxygen 49 keyboard and need to put it to work....

Oh yea I'm gonna show this to my drummer and tell him to start practicing more before we find a keyboardist.

Good stuff Dude!! there was a band here in the Chicago area years back that had a Guy do there drums on a Roland DR-660. I seen them 'live' a bunch of times. Bought their C.D.:kickass: He sounded JUST LIKE Raymond Herrera, but played the drum machine. One time he sat by the sound guy in back of the venue because of cable/ hook up problems

damn dude. Do you play the keyboard drums like you would a piano or do you just use whatever fingering is easiest for you? Also, how do you set up the drums? Do you have like two keys for each drum part? For instance for snare you have B and C keys(b left hit and c right hit)? Also, how long did it take for you to get to this level?

haha maybe i should put together some kinda instruction video, but 2 kicks 2 snares same with toms but the cymbals/hats/ride r just 1 key, im actually pritty fast on piano/keyboards so that probably helps but im a guitar player and its just kinda like using hammer on/off, trills but on the keys!

1 thing though when im trying to put down a quick or rough idea this saves a shitload of time instead of programming beats and i actually prefer the results most of the time, it gives the beats more of a human edge than your usual perfectly programmed beats.

Yeah, I want that instructional too! Although I guess it's kinda hard on weighted keys (I have a Yamaha Clavinova, as I wanted something as close as possible to a real piano). But as I hate programming drums (and suck at it, too), that would be a great skill to acquire. ;)

phew yeah that would be fucking killer to rip it up just ½ as good as you did in that vid. That would sure speed things up quite a bit around here!! Feel VERY free to throw together some sorta instruction vid!! :notworthy
