I have 2 nieces (haven't met the second one yet as she was only born a couple of days ago), a Godson and his little sister to contend with - to be honest they aren't that bad when they're just doing there own thing (if you're just in the room for half an hour or so I mean). It's when you have someone shove 'em in your face that fucks me off big time - just because you think your child is the most wonderful thing on earth (a natural assumption I'm sure) doesn't mean that we all do. ;)
 
Too bloody fucking right, dreamwatch. I hate it when people think their kid is an absolute god(dess), just because it's their kid. Concrete shoes in a river would soon sort that out.

But I want some kiddies on day (ages away)... which I will grow up as metalheads...

I've met some children that aren't too bad, so I know that they aren't all like that. ;) But for me it's a lifestyle choice - ok, I joked about it earlier, but the fact is that once you have a child you can kiss goodbye to your life and your money. Any decent parent devotes themselves to their child and provides for them in every way they can, financially and emotionally. And I'm not prepared to do that at the moment, or any time in the near future. I very much like the freedom I have, and I would have to lose that if I had a child. I'm just not that maternal, I really don't like babies. Older children I have more tolerance for, but I would be VERY bored having to stay at home all day with a baby.

I think I'll stick to my dogs. :)

I'm getting it alot from my mum, mostly because my younger brother has two daughters now and she has freely admitted to me that she would see my children differently to his, that she would enjoy my children more (she felt really bad about that, but I think I understood what she meant.) I've never completely ruled out having them, because I have no idea how I'll feel in X years time. But I'm aware that my opinion has been pretty unwavering all my life - in a way it worries me. I'm worried that at about the time I may decide I've changed my mind that it will be too late. But at the same time I don't think that's reason enough to have them at a time in my life when I'm really not ready. It's a toughy. :)
 
Maybe you ought to get her to have them Mark, I heard dreamy going on about how she was thinking of seeing this gym guy again, now I dont know anything about him, but apparently she knows him from before and used to come home REALLY tired but happy from their dalliances.

Dreamwatch i more than know how you feel with family hounding you. Although I have my entire family the ectended family and any family friend hounding me all the time. My mum says I can longer use the excuse I have not found a decent enough man.
But also until recently I hated the idea of my own kids now I can definately see myself as a mum in the not to distant future....but it still doesn't make it any less anoying with people asking so when are you have babies.
