I liked the cover until the vocalist decided to scream/attempt growling. That turned me off immediately.

Hell, I'd be tickled pink if a mainstream band would cover "Hall of the Mountain King" just to give some clueless kids a taste of Savatage.

I see what you are saying and I'd love for many of the "greats" to get some more exposure in the modern marketplace (covers are a good way to do that) and among the younger generations. (It's good for those kids to know what real music sounds like. ) But I'm torn on this issue because I frequently find clueless kids who don't realize that the "great new song" performed by their new metal (or nu-metal) heroes is actually a cover.

That's really the main thing that ruined it for me ... not the only thing, but certainly the most offensive to my ears.

Maybe I heard wrong, but isn't YouTube currently being sued for having copyrighted content on it? Might be the reason.
