That is possible in any fight but under the conditions regarding the company and Kimbo himself, it is highly unlikely.
EliteXC would not even dream of doing that. Their entire org is built around the hype and attraction of Kimbo - without Kimbo, they'd go under. So they'd be screwing themselves over pretty badly if that were the case. If anything they'd be paying opponents to take dives, to further the Kimbo-hype.
Hence why the Ken Shamrock fight makes sense and would be a win-win situation. If Kimbo won, he beat a well-known "legend" in mma regardless if he's at the bottom of his career and was never that good - and if Kimbo loses, than it's only a matter of inexperience and it gives them a chance to sell Ken Shamrock's name etc and later, Kimbo's comeback from loss etc...but a loss to the unknown Seth hurts Kimbo's name more than anything.
