I heard Abigail when I was young, and while I enjoyed the music quite a bit, the vocals turned me off at the time as well. Then I saw KD live on the Voodoo tour and I was an instant fan. How someone could say King has a shitty vocal delivery is beyond me, but to each his own. Since this is a King Diamond fan thread, I fail to see the point in posting unless you simply want a flame war. Good news about the new album nearing completion. I was dissapointed in Puppet Master, although it did have some good songs. For anyone who hasn't seen the King live, do it before you die or he does.
