ohhhh...

i didn't expected so much !! thanks a lot man !

when you tell "kse stem files", what do you mean ?

is that mean you listen a kse song and you check the eq when a guitar is alone to copy the eq ???

And what about the details of the bass settings ? would like to know about pod farm preset and the equing, comp and buss setting if there is one off course !

The Voxengo Curve Eq has an option in where you choose in how many eq bands (7,12,20,30,40,50,60) will the curve match with your recorded track. That's the band I was talking about and not the KSE band. Thanks Mikka for your answer and your interest!

Argh... I wish people wouldn't use that DevilDriver kick. Have some respect for Andy. Samples he gives out on the forums are one thing, but actually using samples leaked from a video game, that were never meant to be public, just seems so wrong to me. Andy's "usual" kick sample (the DevilDriver kick is a variation of it) is my favorite of all metal productions, but doesn't it bother you that you're advertising something as your mix, when the kick is really just jacked from a big name metal producer? Even just throwing Slate samples all over a mix and claiming credit for how good the mix sounds seems stupid to me, but at least in that case the mixer has bought the rights to those sounds...

Anyway, I'm not pissed at you or anything, just irritated about the whole issue.

Dandelium, you're a legend. as soon as i get windows on my mac, i'm gonna try this out! (although i think i'm gonna need some new pickups.. :/)

thanks,

Hey ;)

I had never seen the thing from your POV but now you say it makes sense.
Anyways I'm not gonna make Andy's work less profitable by using some modified samples from him. Note that the final sound is NOT a DevilDriver sound, so I didn't want to steal HIS sound at all. Just found the samples nice to start working around.

I know what you mean, and I somehow agree with you now ;).
Sorry if it offended you or Andy, was never my intention.

@Teddyboy: I use 60 bands.

Impressive mix. I personaly like it better without that master verb...It take something away from the "punch"...thou it's very subtle.

@ Dandelium:

Can you post details also on post-processing of rest of drums (OH and especially toms) and bass (it doesn't sound so good with your patch only)?

OK, this might be a stupid question, but there's no real drums here are there? You say Drumagog is on the kick and snare and SD overheads, are the drums programmed? I dont get how you did them, would really appreciate an explanation bro! :)

giubis, i think there will be blood on the wall, if erik gets asked another question! aha

AshM, as far as i know it's all programmed. you can still use drumagog on programmed drums. if each drum goes out to a seperate channel (something superior is capable of) you can run drumagog on that channel, and replace the hits in superior, with another sample.

i think that's how he rolls.. aha.

thanks,
